Dawn Alves-Rice
Dawn was born on September 11th 1959 at Kingsburg Hospital to Don and Dorothy Anderson. She graduated from Orland High School in 1977 and went on to UC Davis where she graduated at the top of her class, completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1984. She moved home to the north valley where she started her career. In the midst of starting what would be her very successful career, she also started a family of three amazing sons. Many clients love to reminisce about Dr. Dawn showing up to farm calls with her boys in tow. Then in 2003, Dr. Dawn started her own practice: All About Equine Veterinary Services.
From the ground up, Dawn built what would be and still is one of the most prestigious equine practices in northern California.
We could go on all day and night about what a beautiful, impactful, powerhouse of a person she was. We all have an enormous empty spot in our souls where she beautifully occupied it, but one thing we do know is she will never be forgotten.
She will live on in all the hearts she so impact-fully touched.
She was a leader, teacher and inspiration to all of us. We hope to keep her name and life's work thriving. We do want to ensure not only our clients, but also our friends, that we will be staying open to keep Dawn’s legacy alive. Maintaining the health and well-being of our patients is our number one priority.
